Queen’s College is one of Barbados’ oldest educational institutions with one of the highest graduation rates in the country. The Queen’s College Parent Teacher Association is a volunteer-driven organization that is open to teachers, parents and guardians of current and prospective students. Our aim is to work with the Principal and Executive Board to create an environment where students feel safe while providing them with the necessary tools for success. Not only do we support the students, we also support the teachers and each other. When you join the PTA, you become part of the QC family. We are committed to working together to inspire change and make positive advancements in our students’ lives.
We advocate for the health, safety and general well-being of our students. By way of dues and donations, we provide meals, supplies or any other assistance to families in need. In addition, we aim to execute annual projects for the benefit of the school and its environs. We also plan and coordinate school competitions, charity events and fundraisers. We work to strengthen the relationship between the home and school environment so that parents and teachers can collaborate effectively to meet students’ needs.
We encourage you to join us and get involved as this gives you the opportunity to raise your voice on important issues and make a difference in the school and the community.
Queen’s College is an effective school. We strive to make a reality of our mission and vision. Our aim is to produce highly productive citizens with a good work ethic, who would eventually contribute their fair share to the development of the nation building project. In short, I perceive education as more than certification. It is training, it is values transmission, it is the development of soft skills, it is the production of well-rounded citizens.
In all our efforts to educate our students, I value the support of the PTA.

We have inculcated the principles of the Caribbean Ideal Person into our value-based education programme. In this programme, students are reminded of their role as good citizens in the post-secondary world of work. They are exhorted to be self-confident, to be humble, to develop a good work ethic, to respect the environment, to respect human life, to respect their neighbour and to respect cultural, ethical and religious differences.
In all our efforts to educate our students, I value the support of the PTA.
Dr. David Browne
We, the members of the Queen’s College Parent-Teacher Association, pledge to Unite parents, teachers and children of our school in the common goal of promoting the well-being of all through advocacy and by ensuring the best educational programmes and financial and moral support for our school.
Queen’s College provides a comprehensive curriculum in various areas of study including science and technology, mathematics, business, languages and arts. Here, we look to maximize a child’s full potential by giving them access to a wide range of subjects where they can explore their interests.
At the 4th form level, there is a rigorous options process where students pick subjects that align with their future career goals. Students are required to take a minimum of eight (8) CSEC subjects.
